Mmmm…..Could you try landscape view?

This experience appears to have alot of desktop UI.

In my first year with IBM, I worked as a product designer for the IBM Cloud Pak for Data (ICP4D) product under the data virtualization add-on. Like myself, the cache management feature new to the Data virtualization service and my role was to evolve the feature along with the carbon design migration.

Role
Product design, Information Architecture, Visual design, Stakeholder alignment..
In designing or target users (data engineer and Admin) this project taught me how to expand my thinking to the mindset of designing for work styles over lifestyles. -Ask directly for deep dive
---- All work presented, is my own and my problem solving under the leadership of Josh Dillard.
--Techinal Expertise and product needs defined by Senior Engineering Architect.
Building the conceptual model
Who needs to create a cache, what is a cache, what is a cache used for and why create one? What are the primary questions when developing a conceptual model of what drives the overall design for building a cache.

-This is a completely net-new feature that hasn’t existed on the platform quite yet. (Built completely from prompt given by engineering.)
Building Natural language flows
Our working processes to better define the requirements of each phase of developing the product touch-points. How do they work and how do users engage with each individual stage. Please ask directly for the Scope and overall deep look at the project. This is just the end solution.
Diagnose
How might we diagnose if I need to create a cache, how responsive my queries are and their overall impact on my storage.
Build
How might I build a cache and how often should it execute. (Owner of experience -Dasi link)
Optimize
What might I do to optimize query performance? How often should they/might they execute.

Iterations of the Process
During the iterations and product release cycles, I was able to experience a shift in design languages with new requirements from testing/development. I had to design experiences between the two IBM Design languages while maintaining the new requirements discovered in testing/development.

All screens shown here are my explorations during the period of receiving stakeholder and user feedback regarding product objectives.

Because you made it this far
A brief introduction to Data virtualization… emerging approach to access, manipulate, combine and query data—without needing to move it into a data warehouse or needing to know any of the technical details about the data.
An as my development team might explain, cache management is what makes access to data less expensive to access. Accessing data from memory is much faster than accessing from disk/SSD.In addition to speed, application benefits from high throughput at a more cost-effective price point.
